About Tim Wilson :

Tim Wilson is a Former Principal Flute of the Hong Kong Philharmonic orchestra and currently teaches at Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts. His students have won prizes consistently, progressed to prestigious institutions, and held varying notable positions including Principal Flute Hong Zhou Symphony, Faculty in Mexico City Conservatory and University of Hawaii as well as Hong Kong orchestras (Symphonietta, City Chamber Orchestra) and institutions (CU, BU, HKIED, etc.) As a jazz saxophonist, he has appeared in all the major venues in Hong Kong and performed as a soloist in the Saturday Night Jazz Orchestra for two decades. He has recorded with the trio: Han Shan and their CD’s have been of great importance. His most recent tours include Singapore, Shanghai, Taipei, and Penang. Tim continues to be an active musician and music teacher, reaching out to students who share the same passion.
